Iran: 4,500 prisoners on death row in Iran , alert for another massacre and similar the 1988 massacre in Iran

Iran: 4500 death row prisoners in Gohardasht Prison under new repressive measures

On the anniversary of the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners, and in circumstances when social protests and protests of the victims' families to this horrifying crime have escalated, the Iranian regime has found the only solution to prevent a major social explosion in stepping up executions.

Hazratpour, a member of the parliamentary (Iran) legal and judicial committee, in a shocking confession revealed: Presently, there are 4500 death row prisoners whose cases remain undecided. To resolve the problem, we must work out a solution. (State-run media, August 21, 2016)

In another suspicious and alarming development, prison authorities have adopted new repressive measures in recent days in Gohardasht Prison.
In the course of the 1988 massacre, a large number of prisoners were hanged in Gohardasht Prison where similar repressive measures were adopted at the time.

The Iranian Resistance warns the international community about the Iranian regime's evil objectives in Gohardasht Prison, and urges the UN Human Rights Council, the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights, relevant UN rapporteurs, the UN Security Council, EU member states, and all international human rights authorities to take
urgent action to stop mass executions in Iran
The NCRI further underlines the need to refer the case of human rights violations in Iran, particularly the massacre of political prisoners in 1988, to the UN Security Council and bring to justice those responsible for this crime against humanity. The international community's silence and inaction with respect to this massacre emboldens Iran's ruling theocracy in continuing the trend of mass executions of political prisoners.
Opinion Maryam Rajavi about execution: Our plan for future is an Iran without the death penalty and devoid of torture. Our plan is putting an end to torture and all forms of human rights abuse in Iran.
The Iranian Resistance declared years ago that it calls for abolition of death penalty and an end to torture and all forms of rights abuses in Iran.
Our plan is to revive friendship, conciliation and tolerance. ….
